Has Chris Brown’s publicist quit?

The saying goes that there’s no such thing as bad publicity - but we’re not sure we agree with that, and we get the impression that Chris Brown’s PR lady might be on our wavelength.
Multiple sources in the US are reporting that Chris Browns publicity rep Tammy Brook has quit, following a turbulent week for the R&B singer. Although these reports haven’t yet been confirmed by Brook or Brown.
The trouble started earlier this week when Brown – who’s on the promotion trail for his new album – smashed a window and ripped his shirt after storming off Good Morning America. The singer became angry when the show’s host asked him questions about ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The singer soon apologised for his outburst saying, “I got very emotional, and I wanna apologise for acting like that. I didn't physically hurt anyone, I didn't try to hurt anyone, I just wanted to release the anger that I had inside me because I felt that I worked so hard for this music and I felt like people kept just trying to take it away from me."
But it looks like Chris’ publicist – who’s job it is to fix this sort of PR mess – has finally had enough.  As soon as we get more details or a confirmation on this story we’ll update you.

Chris Brown apologises for TV freak out

We recently reported that Chris Brown had gone just a tinsy bit apeshit on Good Morning America, stomping off the set and chucking chairs through windows at the mention of his dear ex, who he just happened to allegedly punch in the face, Rihanna. He just wanted to talk about his cool new album, OK?!

Well since his minor Hulk-style outburst, Chris has had a little quiet time to think about his behaviour and decided to apologise saying:

“First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, or anybody who was offended or disappointed at my actions. Because I’m disappointed in the way I acted.”

Which is probably not the first time he's been a bit disenchanted with his actions... He carried on:

“Yes, I got very emotional. And I apologise for that,” added Brown, who explained that his tantrum and chair slinging were necessary to release “the anger that I had inside of me.”

Can’t he just try a bit of yoga or something? No one chucks chairs from the lotus position, they are far too relaxed.

However, he maintains that ABC were trying to ‘exploit him’ and that he was never told prior to the interview that questions about his ex would be asked, saying they ‘threw him off’.

Chris Brown Had to ''Let Off Steam''

CHRIS BROWN HAD TO ''LET OFF STEAM''
Chris Brown was ''letting off steam'' when he threw a chair at a dressing room window at a television studio in New York on Tuesday (March 22, 2011).

The 21-year-old singer - who was sentenced to five years probation and six months community service for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009 - claimed he had a meltdown because he felt he was being "exploited" when he was questioned about the incident by Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America."

Chris said: "When we actually did this event everything was cool. We were supposed to perform, the talking points were positivity, creativity, and everything that was sent to me, everything was about the album."

"So as the interview proceeded it was thrown off, I was kind of thrown off by it. I felt like they told us this so that they can just get us on the show just to exploit me. That's what I thought. And so I took it very, very hard."

"I kind of kept my composure throughout the whole interview although you can see me upset. I kept my composure and did my performance and when I got back I let off steam in the back. I didn't physically hurt anyone I didn't try to hurt anyone."

"I just wanted to release the anger I had inside me because I felt like I worked so hard for this music. And I love my fans and I love to be able to make positive music that I felt like people kept, just trying to take it away from me, take away from me. So yes, I got very emotional and I apologize for acting like that."

However, Chris who is alleged to have been screaming so loudly that worried hair and make-up personnel called security before he ripped off his shirt and leaving the building did apologize and admitted he is "disappointed" in his actions.

In an interview with Black Entertainment Television's "106 & Park," he said: "I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really looked disappointed at my actions because I was really disappointed in my actions"

"A lot of people don't know what went down. When I do shows or I do interviews we always send out a talking points sheet and if the network or whomever doing the interviewing isn't complying with what we want to do so we can equally accomplish a goal we usually back out until it?s a better situation."

Chris Brown Smashes Window After 'GMA' Interview -- 'Everyone Was Terrified,' Says Insider

We may have spoken too soon about Chris Brown's successful recovery after completing his court-ordered domestic violence counseling.

Brown's probation officer may be less than thrilled to hear that Brown let his anger get the best of him during an appearance on 'Good Morning America.' According to TMZ, Brown stormed off set, broke the window in his dressing room and tore his shirt off after reporter Robin Roberts pressed him about his 2009 convicted assault against Rihanna.

But according to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC News is defending Roberts' questioning of the star: "As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that's what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown," an ABC News spokesperson said.

"A friend at the show tells me everyone was terrified," says PopEater's Naughty But Nice columnist Rob Shuter. "He is meant to perform on 'Dancing With the Stars,' but now ABC news employees are putting pressure on the network to cancel him due to concerns over staff safety."

Just one month ago, Rihanna's restraining order against Brown was lifted, and Brown was even commended at his hearing for his excellent anti-violence program progress. But from his behavior, it looks like Brown may have been doodling instead of listening during class.

Soon after, Brown unleashed a right hook -- this time the victim was his dressing room window. Pieces of glass from the shattered window reportedly fell to the sidewalk below. When security finally arrived, shirtless Brown had already left the building.

ABC's Statement on the Chris Brown Incident

After their guest stormed out of ABC Studios earlier this morning (March 22), “Good Morning America” has released a statement explaining the much talked about incident involving Chris Brown.

The “Kiss Kiss” singer showed his temper after anchor Robin Roberts questioned him about the domestic violence situation with then-girlfriend Rihanna, which sent him into a rage shortly after the interview.

In response to Chris storming out after the interview, ripping his shirt off and breaking a window, ABC New released a statement reading: “As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that’s what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown.”

Looking to be in a good mood while spotted later the same day, Chris tweeted, “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie Sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.”

Chris Brown Leaked Photos Fully Exposed by Ex-Girlfriend (ContributorNetwork)

Chris Brown leaked photos are nothing new. But in this case, the Chris Brown leaked photos are in a far different context. The last time he was connected to Internet pictures, it involved the aftermath of his domestic dispute with Rihanna. This time, he is the star of these new pictures, which thankfully have nothing to do with domestic violence. However, these photos do reveal quite a bit more of Brown than he would have liked.

Once again, a celebrity has taken a nude picture of himself and wrongfully thought that it would stay private. In this case, an ex-girlfriend found the image and posted it on the Internet. It was posted as part of a video, hosted by World Star Uncut.

The photos are recent since they show him with his new dyed blonde hair. He is posing naked in the bathroom, likely as part of a "sexting" session. However, one of his ex-girlfriends took the image and exposed him to the online world.

Two years ago, the R&B singer was exposed in other ways after pictures got out from his fight with Rihanna. Her bruised and battered face turned him into a pariah, although things seemed to have finally died down now.

However, the leaked photos aren't the only ones to involve him lately. Days earlier, just as Rihanna's restraining order against him was rescinded, new pictures of her swollen face were posted online. This made the singer go on Twitter and call it a "strategic chess move" by his enemies since "The Devil is always busy."

Yet since those words were ill advised, he took them down from Twitter and replaced them with a message about how "The beauty is inside you." But this didn't stop him from going off on Twitter again.

After the photos went up, he went back to Twitter and wrote "WTF!!! Here we go!!!" But just like before, he deleted his words before they could make him look worse, although it was about eight minutes too late. By then, other blogs had gotten a hold of it and the pictures as well.

The various photos and his responses on Twitter prove social media has not worked well for him. But not much else has worked well for him in the last few years, usually due to his own mistakes. This incident is far from his biggest mistake, although he is still the latest celebrity to be naïve about taking nude pictures.

Chris Rock adds Broadway to his funny resume (AP)

NEW YORK – How do you top a winter in which you've made fun of Oprah Winfrey to her face, gleefully butchered a classic Simon and Garfunkel song during a telethon and made a guest appearance on Kanye West's mega-selling CD?

If you're Chris Rock, the next stop is Broadway.

"I always look for everything," says the comedian, sitting at a table at the theater-district hangout Sardi's before rehearsals of his new gritty play by Stephen Adly Guirgis.

"You want to give your audience something funny or something good — that can be anything. It can be a play, it can be a movie," he says. "Hey, I was on Kayne's record! That's funnier than probably anything I've done in a couple of years. You know what I mean? How can I be funny this year?"

The answer now is "The Motherf----- With the Hat," a play that Rock describes as "`The Honeymooners' with drugs." It's about a man on parole and trying to live clean with his volatile girlfriend, who is far from sober. Rock, making his Broadway debut, plays the man's drug counselor.

"Honestly, it was the best thing I read all last year. It was better than every movie script, every book — it was better than everything," he says. "I read a couple of other plays and thought, `This is easily the best one I've read.'"

Director Anna D. Shapiro, who won a Tony Award for "August: Osage County," says Rock is working hard to meld with fellow actors Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vazquez.

"The day is filled with a lot of laughing and hard work and generosity, and all of that is because of who he is," she says. "He's refining a skill he already has. He understands the technical demands of that now every day better and better."

Rock, 46, is just the latest comedian to be drawn to Broadway this season, joining Robin Williams, Ben Stiller, Jim Gaffigan, Dane Cook, Colin Quinn, John Leguizamo and Kathy Griffin.

"People want to work, man," Rock says. "They don't make Sydney Pollack movies any more. They're not making `Marathon Man' any more. So if you want to act — if you want to be in something of substance — and you're not 19, it's hard."

Rock says acting on stage isn't too far from his roots doing live stand-up or acting in films such as the recently released "Grown Ups" and "Death at a Funeral." He compares it to a gentler version of his three years aboard "Saturday Night Live."

"`Saturday Night Live' is like Olympic boxing and this is real boxing," Rock says. `Saturday Night Live' is five minutes: You've got cue cards; you've got a helmet — kind of like Olympic boxing. This is real boxing. This is 12 rounds."

Above all, he says the story was set in present day. "I always say the worst two words a black actor can hear is `period piece,'" he says. "Literally, as an actor, I don't really care about anything that happened before the Jackson 5."

Rock has had an interesting few months. He teamed up with Tracy Morgan to sing "Scarborough Fair" on "Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert for Autism Education" and had a hilarious cameo on West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy."

He also mocked Winfrey at the 2010 Kennedy Center Honors, an annual celebration of the arts in Washington. "No one deserves this award more than Oprah Winfrey," he said from the stage, that trademark twinkle in his eyes, "but no one needs it less."

Rock knows what he's in for on Broadway, having seen such shows as "Fences," "God of Carnage," "Rock of Ages" and "Race." He has grown a goatee for his new part and says he likes being able to sit down and discuss the work with the playwright.

"I like this process because it values the writer. Literally, nothing's done without the writer's approval — and that's so different from the movies. In the movies, they kind of hate the writers," he says, laughing. "The writers' union needs a Rosa Parks."

Guirgis impresses him. "So few people can write and so few people can write blue collar. Nobody can do it," he says. He has another, more personal reason to like the script, too: "It's weird. When it gets good, it sounds like me."

Being on Broadway may be stepping out of his comfort zone, but Rock points to other times he has done just that, such as the TV show "Everybody Hates Chris" or his documentary "Good Hair."

"You just want to be involved with good work. It's not even about, `Oh, look at me: I'm doing a play.' I didn't do `Good Hair' because it was documentary. I just thought, `I could do something good here.' Plain and simple. It's all comedy anyway. It's not all that different," he says. "It's a little more dramatic than things I've done, but it's funnier than `New Jack City.'"

Rock says that, so far, the experience has been fun. He gets to enjoy a regular schedule after years of touring and take his kids to school in the morning, although the adult language in the play means his two girls, the oldest is 9, can't visit daddy at work.

"It's not a bad life. I got no beef. If it works out fine, I could absolutely do one of these every once in a while," Rock says. Then he notes the title of the play and adds: "If I do another one, it might be a little more family friendly."

Bachelor Brad Didn't Fall for 'Michelle's Game,' Says Chris Harrison

Bachelor Brad Didn't Fall for 'Michelle's Game,' Says Chris Harrison Brad Womack and Michelle Money

Rick Rowell/ABC

She's been a controversial presence on the show, and while The Bachelor's Brad Womack defended Michelle Money after he sent her home on Monday night's show, host Chris Harrison was more blunt.

"The problem with hot women … is they can get away with a little bit more, and I think she knows that," Harrison said of the feisty Michelle on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday. "And I think she's the type of girl that is used to getting her way, and having so many girls around, having to compete, and then having Brad finally kind of call her on it was kind of interesting."

On top of which, Harrison says, Michelle – who Seacrest described as being someone in whom "the elevator ain't always going to the top floor" – didn't allow for the most graceful of goodbyes.

"It was almost anticlimactic," Harrison said. "Her exit last night, it was almost a rude exit; she just really wouldn't talk to him."

Why that happened, he opined, was because, "I think she was surprised that Brad didn't fall for her charms, and fall for her game, and I think her game usually works on guys and it fell apart."

Womack himself was taken aback, said Harrison, who provided a glimpse of one thing viewers didn't see on the show: "As soon as it was over, [Brad] looked at the camera and he's like, 'that was a terrible goodbye. You know it, she knows it, I know it.' "

"I thought it was very honest," Harrison added. "That's what you're left thinking last night, is that this was a terrible exit. After all that time she should have had the wherewithal and the heart to talk it out or say something instead of hopping in the limo."
