Songwriter Claude Kelly Helps Britney Burn It Up With 'Gasoline,' Says Christina 'Will Be Fine'

When the track listing for Britney Spears' upcoming album, 'Femme Fatale,' was released earlier this month, fans got more insight into the hotly anticipated record. Hotshot songwriter Claude Kelly is one of the names attached to the March 29 project, and according to the in-demand talent, who wrote Spears' 2008 comeback hit 'Circus,' fans can expect an even more upbeat and sexy Spears.

"I wrote this song called 'Gasoline' for the new album," Kelly tells PopEater of the Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco-produced track. "Britney went in and knocked it out in one session. I'm really happy with the record because she sounds happy. The melody is slick and very fun. I love Britney's attitude, and there's a real sex appeal to 'Gasoline.' It's one of those sexy pop records that Britney's great at doing."

"She sounded clean and energetic. She was able to do those signature ad libs that makes it a classic Britney Spears record," he says. "It's reminiscent of the fun feel of her early albums. When you close your eyes you envision her dancing along to the song."

Kelly is also hoping to get back into the studio soon with longtime collaborator Christina Aguilera, who was recently in the news after being detained for public intoxication. Kelly believes, however, all the talk of a troubled Xtina heading for a rehab stint has been over-the-top.

"I've spoken to her," he says of the powerful vocalist. "She's about to do this big singing show called 'The Voice.' I think the media has been making a bigger deal out of things. Christina's a fighter. She has had a few stumbles, but everybody does. It's just that she's in the public eye. But she usually takes those types of situations and turns them into huge musical moments. I'm working with her again, and I believe she's going to turn all of this into a record that the world will love. I have no doubt she will be fine."

Kelly Osbourne makes shopping for furniture look hot

It's always nice to see skinny mini celebs looking annoyingly amazing while casually popping to the shops. So it was nice to see Kelly Osbourne looking every inch the LA chick on a stroll in California.

Kels was out furniture shopping for her new pad in Beverly Hills she has just moved in to with her boyfriend, Rob Damiani who is, fingers crossed, nothing like that dodgy ex, Luke Worrall.

Obviously, shopping is good exercise if Kelly’s toned legs are anything to go by – check out those pins! We think we have a new girl crush, sorry Rihanna.

Rocking this look, Kelly is most definitely our style crush for the day – the skirt, the chunky heels, the fishtail braid – swoon!

Kelly Osbourne Wants Dog In Show

KELLY OSBOURNE WANTS DOG IN SHOW
Kelly Osbourne wants to enter her pet into a dog show.

The 26-year-old star loved watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show - in which animals are judged against the standards for their breed - on television recently and now wants to enter her beloved Pomeranian pooch Sid into a competition.

She wrote in her column for Closer magazine: "I've been glued to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Me and mom scream at the TV like teenagers watching Justin Bieber."

"My dog Sid's parents were champion dogs and he's got the best bone structure!"

"I feel like a mom- I'd love to put Sid in a show but don't want to pressure him into anything he might not want to do."

The "Fashion Police" star recently admitted she and her mother Sharon had been inspired by watching the dog show and even staged their own contest for their family pooches.

Kelly - whose father is rocker Ozzy Osbourne - tweeted last week: "Watching the Westminster dog show with my mom and we are screaming at the tv if anyone could actually see us right now.... Obsessed. Now my mom and I are having our own Westminster dog show with all our dogs the winner is rocky my dad's dog. (sic)."

Snoop Dogg And R. Kelly Strive For 'Greatness' On 'Platinum'

West Coast icon Snoop Dogg and Chicago R&B veteran R. Kelly teamed up with production whiz kid Lex Luger for the booming track "Platinum." Snoop sat down with MTV News to talk about the track, which will be featured on his 11th studio album, Doggumentary, saying his and R. Kelly's approach to music is what made their partnership a natural and familiar fit.

"I think me and Kells understand who we are and what we do to make each other better," Snoop said. "He has a deep love for music, and sometimes he goes over the head of the people that's listening just like myself, because we're too in-depth with music. We don't just listen to our genre. We find ourselves enjoying all walks of music."

In his 20-year career, Snoop somehow possesses the hunger of a hip-hop up-and-comer. He explained the reason behind that drive and how R. Kelly helped him on this latest journey.

"We wanna be great. We don't wanna make cool records. Because any time I hear R. Kelly, he's great," the cool Californian said. "Whenever he hears Snoop Dogg, I'm great. So why not come together and make some greatness?"

The song, however, almost didn't make the final cut, as Snoop had finished up recording the album. Snoop's friend previewed the Lex Luger track for the rapper, which impressed him enough to jot down a few bars. After sending his sketch to Kelly, the crooner replied with his own rough demo, leading the pair to finally complete the record.

What do you think about the combo of Snoop and Kells? Let us know in the comments!
