Nicole Scherzinger says she would be ''honored'' to be a judge on the US version of 'The X Factor'

The former Pussycat Dolls singer is one of the favorites for a spot on the judging panel when the pop star search show launches Stateside and she admits she is desperate to get the call from Simon Cowell.

During an appearance on British breakfast TV show "Lorraine," she said: "I have no idea what is going on, but I think that if they did ask me to do it I would definitely be honored ? Simon's not a bad guy to be around."

Nicole is wanted by Simon for his new American TV project because of her impressive displays as a guest judge on the UK version of "The X Factor" when she filled in for Cheryl Cole when she had malaria.

And the 32-year-old pop beauty believes she makes a good judge because she went through the same audition process as the hopefuls do when she landed her place in the Pussycat Dolls.

Nicole - who is dating Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton - added: "That whole experience was so new to me, but it was fun and I guess if anyone can empathize with what they are going through - I've been through the exact same audition process, that's how I got my big break in the US."

"And it's what I love more than anything in the world, so why wouldn't I be excited? I was happy to be a part of the show."

Sarah Harding prefers a quiet life in the country to partying.

The 29-year-old singer - formerly known for her love of wild nights out in London - has revealed that she has "changed" and now favors staying in her Buckinghamshire home with her pets and fiance Tom Crane instead of going out drinking in the city, though she doesn't think other people realize she has changed.

She told Closer magazine: "I have the odd night out and everyone says: 'She's back to her old ways!'"

"I have changed - I spend most of my nights at home in front of the TV with a log fire and my animals. I mean, come on, give a girl a break!"

"Living in the country is great because I have a lot more privacy and my outdoorsy life. It's when I go into London my guard goes up!"

Speaking in Now magazine, he said: "I've never wished Katie any harm but the main aim of my life is to be the best father I can be and that's it. That's all I care about."

"The children have always been the most important thing in my life. What Katie does in her private life, as long as it doesn't affect them, is of no concern to me."

Katie is currently said to be having a fling with Argentinean model Leandro Penn, who she met at Elton John's post-Oscars party in Los Angeles.

Nicole Scherzinger says being turned down for the role of a dancing toothbrush motivated her to become a Pussycat Doll.

The stunning singer-and-actress has revealed that after a string of rejections, being turned down after an audition for a dental care advert was "crushing" - but gave her the strength to prove that she could go on to be a successful performer.

She explained: "I missed out on a couple of big movies when I was on the audition trail early in my career. I got really close but didn't ever get the big job."

"For TV stuff I auditioned for this Colgate commercial once. I was really desperate for the job. They didn't cast me as the dancing toothbrush and I would have been spectacular."

The 32-year-old beauty added that missing out on that particular job hit her hard because she needed the money - but it turned out to be the final push she needed to achieve her dreams.

She said in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "I was struggling and I tried so hard for the job. They were teaching us this choreography for the dancing toothbrush and just turned to me and said, 'No.' It was crushing."

"But I just felt at that moment I was going to prove them wrong. One day they would see I was so that dancing toothbrush - and so much more. I could have been the best dancing toothbrush ever."

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly preparing to sue the jewelery company she is accused of stealing from.

The "Mean Girls" actress is reportedly preparing a lawsuit against Kamofie & Company for using her image to profit without permission, after it sold CCTV footage of her in the store on the day she is accused of stealing a ?2,500 necklace.

The video was sold for at least $40,000 and will be aired yesterday night (March 8, 2011) on US show "Entertainment Tonight."

A representative for the jeweler has, however, said they felt it was "necessary" to release the video.

A statement to website TMZ read: "We hope that everyone understands that this is beyond our control, the flood of the requests to see this video were simply too overwhelming. It was truly necessary to put it out."

Meanwhile it has been claimed Lindsay - who is still on probation after completing a court ordered rehab stint in January - will not accept a plea bargain for a six month jail term, offered by the District Attorney when she returns to court to face judge Keith Schwartz on Thursday (March 10, 2011).

This is partly because her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, thinks they have a strong chance of getting her sentence reduced to between 30 and 45 days in light of the video being leaked.

If Lindsay - who maintains she was loaned the necklace - doesn't take the plea deal her case will proceed to trial and be referred to Judge Stephanie Sautner, who has a reputation for being firm but fair.

A source told website Radaronline.com: "Judge Sautner doesn't care if you are a celebrity or not, she is fair, but make no mistake, with repeat offenders, she shows no mercy."

Martin Scorsese reportedly owes $2.8 million in tax.

The "Taxi Driver" director - who has previously been asked to pay $1.9 million in back taxes in a series of demands from the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the last decade - was asked to pay the past-due notice last month, although insiders have claimed it is only as a result of "mismanagement" from now-jailed accountant Kenneth Starr.

A source said: "Scorsese had been mismanaged for a number of years when he was at Starr and s**t started to happen again. In a general sense, his finances were messed up, and this is probably one of many things that didn't get tended to."

However, Scorsese's representative Leslee Dart has denied he owes any money, claiming the request is a mistake.

Dart said: "The IRS prematurely filed this lien even though Mr. Scorsese had an agreement with the IRS to make payments and was fully complying. As of this moment, the entire amount is full paid, and he has no current IRS debts."

Last year Scorsese and his company Sikelia Productions were sued by a court-appointed receiver for Kenneth claiming he had not paid a $600,000 fee for services provided since 2006.

However, lawyers for the 68-year-old filmmaker have denied those claims in papers filed at Manhattan Supreme Court.

Kenneth was jailed for seven-and-a-half years last week for his involvement in a fraudulent Ponzi scheme - where separate investors are paid returns not from profit earned through their own money but funding from other investors.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz The rocker has filed papers asking a judge for joint physical and legal custody of two-year-old Bronx Mowgli, in contrast to his estranged wife's request for primary physical custody in her divorce papers.

Pete's legal response to Ashlee's petition - obtained by website TMZ - was filed at Los Angles County Superior Court on Monday (March 7, 2011) and also asks for each party to pay their own legal fees, which differs to Ashlee's request for Pete to pay for them both.

Ashlee, 26, filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" in February, just under three years after she married the former Fall Out Boy bass player in 2008.

In a joint statement at the time they said: "After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce."

"We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority."

Despite the statement, Pete, 31, was said to be very upset after the divorce was initially filed.

A friend said: "Pete has been crying a lot to her about this. He is crushed, and does not want it to be over. Ashlee is done, she loves him, but she's ready to move on."

George Michael has lost 15lbs since giving up marijuana.

The 47-year-old singer insists he has been clean since completing four weeks of an eight-week prison term for driving under the influence of drugs last September and has been delighted by some of the unexpected side effects of quitting his cannabis high, which is known for triggering a sudden desire for food in users.

He said: "I'm having counseling about my ongoing drug abuse. Hopefully the period where I was a bit lost is over for good."

"I hope it's self evident just in the fact I've lost about 15lbs, I hope it's self-evident I'm not eating as much any more, which should tell you a lot."

"None of my trousers fit anymore, for the right reasons this time. I've dropped about 14 or 15lbs without really trying."

Despite his weight loss, George is not convinced he will stay slender and hasn't yet accepted his slim frame enough to shop for new clothes.

He added in an interview with UK station BBC Radio 2: "I've always been the porky boy in my head. I didn't realize on the last tour I was carrying all that extra weight! Now if anything, I'm a little bit skinny."

"I have two pairs of black jeans and they're the only ones that fit me. In my head I obviously think I'm going to put the weight back on so I haven't bought any new jeans."

As well as losing weight, George says his sobriety has given him more "courage" to try new things and tackle parts of his life he had previously kept hidden.

He said: "I struggle to have more hours of social time because I'm trying to be a very good boy, that's a struggle but the work part is easy."

"I went through a long period where I was afraid of doing things I wanted to do, and you get your courage back, which is what's important. Some days it's fearlessness, but I wouldn't normally go that far."

"There are aspects of my life that I treasure which I couldn't get my hands on in a weird way over the last 15 years and I can now, it's a bizarre feeling."

A $35 million lawsuit against Paris Hilton which alleged she failed to promote a range of hair extensions has been dropped.

The 30-year-old socialite was accused of missing a launch party for HairTech International products in 2007, and was also seen wearing a competitor's extensions.

The company had paid her $3.5 million to be the face of their Dream Catchers range of clip-in locks.

However, the company's founder and CEO Chris Volek has now admitted the allegations were wrong and has dropped the case against her.

The blonde star - who had countersued for $2.1 million in damages and had missed the launch party because she was in jail for violating the terms of her probation as a result of a reckless driving charge - admits she is pleased with the decision.

She said: "It is certainly not unusual for businesspeople to have their disagreements, but I am glad that Chris has acknowledged the hard work and dedication I put into promoting his products."

Discussing why he had dropped the case, Chris - who had claimed her failure to turn up to the party had lost the company $6.6 million in lost revenue on its own - confessed the information he had received about her actions had been incorrect.

He said in a statement: "The information I received from others and on which I based the lawsuit was not accurate."

"Once I got there and saw other people who had children who already died or were dying, they were handling it with dignity and I didn't want to be the psycho parent. I wanted to handle it with dignity as well. Their kids were dying too so I didn't have any right to be a psycho. I just had to handle it like everyone else and be humble and be at ease."

Mike - who became a father for the eighth time in January after wife Lakiha Spicer Tyson gave birth to their son Morocco - says the tragic incident helped him get sober but says he couldn't have done without the support of his friends and family.

The 44-year-old sportsman told US TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: "I'm just very fortunate that I had a great support system. That I had great mentors. I was just very fortunate. I'm not better than anyone else that was successful and probably OD'd or committed suicide. I'm not different than them."

"The only difference is that I had a good support system...I wanted to change. I couldn't do it without the support."
