Maroon 5 to write new track with their fans!

On March 22nd, fans of LA based Maroon 5 will be able to get into the studio with them to lay down some tracks. Now, unfortunately this doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to sit alongside Adam Levine and fiddle with his guitar stings, as the whole thing is being created over the web… so you’ll be sat in your bedroom watching them and fiddling with yourself. Yes, we know we’re immature, but we still found that funny!
In collaboration with Coca-Cola, the event is being promoted as a virtual all-access pass to the recording studio, via the use of interactive projection technology. Blimey, that sounds all very high tech! The idea is for their fans to see every aspect of the bands progress and to put them in the heart of what’s going on. Here fans will be able to contribute creatively by sending in lyrics, rhythms and riffs over a 24 hour period, they’ll also be able to comment on what they’re seeing and hearing and post pictures. It's going to be one great big group effort!
Coca-Cola’s Director of Global Entertainment Marketing, Joe Belliotti, said, “This is the most ambitious and experimental effort in music Coca-Cola has ever undertaken. For the 24-hour session, we are deploying and developing new and emerging technologies to allow as many people as possible to be part of the event and gain insight into the creative process that goes into making great music.”
Well, we’re off to pen some creative ideas… anything to get Adam’s attention!
