Lily Allen makes some new AMAZING friends

Despite slagging off her own TV show earlier this week, it seems Lily Allen is in very good spirits of late. How do we know this?* Because she’s been making lots of friends this week – and not the type of people you’d expect.

At the Cheltenham festival’s Gold Cup Day today, Lily hung out with horsey types and everyone’s favourite sporting interviewer-type Clare Balding, who she chatted away happily with during an interview for Radio Five Live.

But the fun and friend-making didn’t end there. In THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION YOU MAY EVER HEAR, Lily Allen shared a box with actual Jeremy Kyle. This is a bit brilliant, no?

* We don’t actually know this. We are guessing.

We wonder if she will bump into Jordan.

Woody Allen to shoot next film in Rome this summer (AFP)

ROME (AFP) – American film director Woody Allen will shoot his next film in Rome this summer, according to an interview published in the Repubblica newspaper on Monday.

"Don't ask me about the script or the cast, I'm superstitious," said the director, whose last film "Midnight in Paris" will open the 64th edition of the Cannes Film Festival on May 11.

"I'm still at the screenplay stage, it would be silly to say more."

Allen compared Rome to his other favourite metropolitan cities, from New York to Paris, London, Barcelona.

"I love these sophisticated cities. It's fantastic to have the possibility to work there, like when I shot 'Manhattan' in New York, 'Match Point' in London and 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' in Barcelona," he said.

"Each time, it's like a declaration of love for certain places. I project onto the big screen my feelings for places which count a lot in my life."

"I hope to do the same thing with Rome," said Allen, who is expected in the Italian capital with his jazz group on March 26.
