Zsa Zsa Gabor Refuses Leg Amputation Surgery

After being rushed to the hospital on Wednesday when blood flow to her left leg stopped, Zsa Zsa Gabor declined surgery to amputate the leg, the Associated Press reports. Her publicist, John Blanchette, confirmed that the actress will be released from the hospital on Friday.

The Hungarian-American socialite and actress has been ailing since summer 2010. Her right leg was amputated in January because of gangrene, and she was hospitalized last month for high fever, fluid in her lungs and an infection.

Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, called ambulances to their Beverly Hills home Wednesday because the 94-year-old former actress was "having issues regarding the blood flow to her left leg." He later told reporters that she has another leg infection.

On Thursday, Von Anhalt said the actress is currently on medication but only has a "50-50 chance" of surviving the next year without surgery.
