Brits chart boost for Adele song

20 February 2011 Last updated at 19:00 GMT Adele Adele wowed the Brits audience with an acoustic rendition of Someone Like You Adele, whose song Someone Like You is number one, and acts including Plan B and Tinie Tempah have enjoyed a Brits boost in this week's chart.

Someone Like You, sung acoustically by Adele at Tuesday's Brits, climbed 46 places while Mumford and Sons' winning album Sigh No More rose from 15 to two.

Disc-Overy by breakthrough winner Tinie Tempah climbed 19 to number six.

And best British male solo artist Plan B's album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, leapt from 24 to seven.

Adele's 21 holds on to the number one album position while her debut collection, 19, rose two place to number four.

She also has the number four single, Rolling in the Deep.

Tinie Tempah, meanwhile, has five of the top 40 singles, the highest of which is his collaboration with JLS, Eyes Wide Shut, at number eight.

Also in the singles chart, there was a new entry at 14 for Far East Movement featuring Ryan Tedder, with Rocketeer, while, at 21, You Me at Six featuring Chiddy Bang entered the chart with Rescue Me.

The cast of E4's Glee also hit the chart at 36 with Teenage Dream as well as at number 39 with their Start Me Up/Livin' on a Prayer "mash-up".

There were new entries in the album chart for PJ Harvey's Let England Shake, at number eight, and for Mogwai's Hardcore Will Never Die But You Will, at 25.
